July and August

The main thing that happened in July was GRADY TURNED 2!!!!!!!
I cannot believe that I just typed that, where in the world has the time gone? My baby isn't a baby he is a little boy now. We, of course, spent some time at the beach with the Moores and Tyler, Blake and Matt came for a few days too...

We took the boat out to in front of the pier in Gulf Shores and watched the fireworks on the 4th and they were great! That was the perfect place to watch them!

Grady and Caroline and Chase and Ben went fishing one afternoon while we had a girls dinner and Grady caught a fish!
We went to Sloan's birthday party at Gymboree and Grady loved it! The zoo also came to Cloverdale and they brought an armadillo, a turtle, a chinchilla, a flying squirrel and an owl.

I had a GREAT time on the Coosa with Tyler and Matt and Ben and Kelli (Chase was supposed to go but he cut his head and couldn't go). We went one Sunday afternoon and had lots of fun.
Chase and I also went to a Braves game in Atlanta and spent the night. It was a nice overnight trip!

Grady is talking non stop! He loves to play with his trains and his cars...for that matter he loves ANYTHING with wheels or a steering wheel! We are dabbling in potty training but not really rushing it. I am going to push it next month probably!

I saw this poem about 2 year olds and I love it!

A two year old is so many things.
A tiny discoverer of butterfly wings.
A hugger of teddies, a sweet sleepy head.
And someone to dream for in bright years ahead.
A special new person who right from the start,
has a place in the family and a coarse in your heart.
And just when you think you've learned all the things,
that your dear son is,and the joy that he brings,
a hug or a grin comes with such a sweet surprise,
that love finds you smiling with tears in your eyes.

Catch Up...May and June

The future Mr. and Mrs. Grady Ming...This is Caroline and we have an arranged marriage already set up with her parents...We would love it if Grady and Caroline one day would get married. We love her parents and couldn't ask for better in-laws if it was too happen...we will have to wait and see. It it does this will definitely be at there wedding!

We went to the beach for the Kenny Chesney Concert with Kelli and Ben and had a great time! We also did a little fishing too...

We had a great Mother's Day this year. Chase's family came over for brunch and it was yummy! We had Mimosa's, crab cake's, fruit, grits, etc....
Papa (Rusty) came too and we got a picture with all his grand kids (not sure why we didn't get one with MiMi since it was Mother's Day) ?!

I decided to get Grady a big boy bed in June for many reasons....Chase's sister Dallas is having a baby in July and she needed a crib, Grady is heavy and very long, and he is a great sleeper...or was...We got bunk beds and I love them! HE did great the first night, didn't get up at all once we put him to bed but the next nights, or mornings, were rough! He goes to bed with no problem but if he wakes up, whether it is 3 or 6, he thinks it is time to get out of bed. I woke up one morning to him turning the light on and off in our room, another to him staring me in the face saying Papy (pacifier)...so it has been kind of tiring and I have regretted the big boy bed decision  several times! Here he is in his bed the first night...since then I have done away with the bed rail...
Grady had his 2nd bday party at the end of June...I cannot believe my baby is 2! ;( He is so much fun and such a handful right now! He says all kinds of words and phrases! He had the Big Green Bus come to the house for his party and had lots of fun with all his friends...

Kisses from Grady until our next update....
