3 Months old and a UTI

The Little Man is 3 months old and growing fast! He is such a joy!!! I never thought I would say this but I LOVE getting up at 6:45 on a Saturday to play with him. He is cooing and talking all the time and is such a happy baby. We have truly been blessed.
The poor thing was sick last week...102 fever and the doctor said he had a Urinary Tract Infection. She said usually little boys don't get them and especially not this young so tomorrow she is sending us for an ultrasound of his kidneys and bladder and another procedure where they put catheter in him and fill his bladder up and then take a bunch of x-rays as it drains. Hopefully everything will look good!

Grady hanging out with Sugar

He loves to play on his activity mat. I will have to upload some video. He kicks his legs and makes all kinds of noises while he is swinging his arms

This is his Auburn onesie from Jessica. I was about to get him out of the car to take him into school and he looked so sweet sleeping!

Oatmeal and Date Night

Okay, so the oatmeal didn't go too good. I tried feeding Little Man oatmeal on Saturday morning and he wanted nothing to do with it. He would just push it out of his mouth with his tongue. So I guess I will try again next weekend? I did see oatmeal with bananas which sounded a little better than plain oatmeal but I am not sure if I can give it to him.
Chase and I had a date night on Friday and had so much fun! We went to the Bassmasters weigh in and then stayed for the Zac Brown Band concert. It was a rainy, muddy mess but it was great! Afterwards we headed over to the Alley Bar for a drink and then home. I was anxious to get home because I told the babysitters (my parents) we would be home around 10:30 and I didn't want to keep them out on their first night babysitting. (Although they did keep Grady while we went to the beach a couple of weekends ago.) We had a great time and from what I understand so did he!

From the Beginning...

Many of my friends and family members have asked me why I don't have a blog. I guess I haven't really had time or a reason to have one...but now that little man is here it makes sense! So, here goes...from the beginning...
Chase and I met in 2002 (after meeting once before in 1999) and began dating in 2003. We got married on a beautiful cloudy day in October of 2007. We had the best wedding at the Bartlett Ranch surronded by nature, friends and family. We honeymooned for two weeks in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and had the best time!!!! I can't wait to go back. As you can see from the pictures below we travel a lot. We have been snowboarding (which is where Chase proposed on the ski lift) several times, to the Grand Canyon, Arches National Park, Park City, Utah, Las Vegas several times, Boston, Gatlinburg...and the list goes on.

We have three dogs that we considered our children. Sugar, Copper and Coal. Copper just recently had 9 babies of her own.

We decided we wanted a child of our own and began trying shortly after we got married. I got pregnant in April of 2008 but had a miscarriage in June of 08. It was a hard time but we knew it was God's will for us to have a child so we tried again and on July 02, 2009 we were blessed with a healthy baby boy! William Grady Ming weighed in at 8lbs and 11oz and was 20.5 inches long. He is named after both of his grandfathers and we call him Grady. I had a very uneventful labor and pregnancy (minus the kidney stones).

Now the Little Man is almost three months old and time has flown. He is sleeping through the night and we are going to try feeding him oatmeal with a spoon this weekend. Yes, I said with a spoon...the child cannot even sit up by himself and I am going to try to feed him out of a bowl. I thought Dr. Wood was crazy when she suggested it! I will take some pictures and let you know how it goes!

Here are some pictures of my Little Man in his first 2 1/2 months...

Little Man has already taken his first trip to the beach, he was two weeks old and Janel Gay took his pictures while we were there. She did a GREAT job!!!
